pic 1The movie Mrs Henderson Presents starring Dame Judy Dench as Laura Henderson and Bob Hoskins as her side kick Vivian Van Dam was a massive box office hit back in 2005.

Now Terry Johnson’s transformed theie real life story into a musical.  The war time tale goes behind the scenes of The Windmill Theatre as it fought the establishment to stay open at a time when the nation was fighting the Nazi’s.

Arts correspondent Thomas Magill caught up with Tracie Bennett who plays Laura Henderson and the shows director Terry Johnson for BBC Radio 2.

Mrs Henderson Presents is on at The Noel Coward Theatre until the 18th June.
