The expenses scandal from 2009 exposing some MP’s for fiddling their books made for some explosive headlines and led to a number of them being ousted from the Houses of Parliament.

It rocked the very heart of government with items such as shampoo and lightbulbs to garden furniture and duck houses being claimed for.

Now Dan Patterson and Colin Swash have written a comedy about the fiasco starring Ben Miller as an ambitious, niavely corrupt Labour politician on the verge of jumping ship to the Tories just days before the scandal breaks.
